ACCPD defends use of tear gas to disperse protest crowd in downtown Athens

This is the full video of the press conference in which Lt. Daniel Harrison of ACCPD's Office of Professional Standards explains the actions of police to disperse protesters in downtown Athens at around midnight on May 31.

The protests were in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in the aftermath of Minneapolis police killing George Floyd, an unarmed black man who was in custody for allegedly passing a counterfeit $20 bill.
