Train collides with tractor-trailer in Winder

A train collided Friday afternoon with a tractor-trailer truck at the CXS Railroad crossing on Broad Street near May Street in Winder

The truck driver and one of the train’s drivers were treated for minor injuries, according to Winder Police Chief Jim Fullington.

Fullington said the train struck the truck’s trailer because the truck stopped behind traffic at a red light, leaving the trailer partially on the train tracks.
