Fire crews were on scene Tuesday for a two-car collision on Commerce Road. Both drivers were entrapped and fire crews used extrication tools to remove the drivers from their vehicles and provided initial patient care before National EMS transported them to the hospital.

It was like a macabre dress rehearsal for the following day when our first responders had to contend with a pair of fatal collisions.
