Cantaritos Café offers up Latin cuisine with a different flair

Yet another restaurant that offers Latin food recently opened for business in Athens.

But this one does not add to the overcrowded local Mexican food market.

At Cantaritos Café, owners Mayra Barrientos and Brighton Meza are serving up specialty dishes that showcase their Salvadoran and Venezuelan heritage.

Chef specials and favorites include Pupusas, Lomo Saltado, Arepas, and Chilaquiles

Located at 2457 Jefferson Road in the Homewood Village Shopping Center, Cantaritos Café is open Monday to Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
