An Athens man last week was arrested for rape after he allegedly climbed through a window of the teenaged victim’s home on Cone Drive and assaulted her, Athens-Clarke County police said.

Julius Willis Moses, 55, who also lived on Cone Drive was charged with rape, child molestation and first-degree burglary, according to police.

The alleged assault occurred at about 4:40 a.m. Thursday, police said, adding that the 15-year-old victim was able to identify her attacker, which led to Moses’s arrest later that day.

He continued to be held without bail Monday at the Clarke County Jail.
