Corporal Benjamin Chaloux was recently recognized for his many years of service with the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.
During a ceremony held Wednesday in the atrium of the Athens-Clarke County Courthouse, Sheriff Ira Edwards presented Chaloux with his 15-year service pin.
Chaloux's current assignment is courthouse security, working both in Magistrare Court and assisting with courthouse entrance security.
He previously worked at the county jail and as a road deputy.
"We thank him for his dedication, hard work and care while serving the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office, the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and the citizens of Athens-Clarke County.” Ewards said.
