Athens-Clarke County police said they were investigating a Sunday night shooting incident at an eastside apartment complex.
A police report of the incident did not note that there were any victims or property damage from the incident at Athens Gardens off Lexington Road.
A resident at the complex reported she heard numerous shots somewhere outside her home in the 120 building on Coleridge Court at about 8:10 p.m., police said.
After hearing the shots, the woman said she saw two cars speeding away, one a gray Dodge Charger and the other a blue-gray sedan that did not have its lights turned on, according to police.
Officers obtained several suspect descriptions, including that of a male of an unknown race who wore all black, including a skull cap who held a gun as he ran around the building, police said.
They were also told that the shooting involved several black males who were all about 18 years old, police said.
Officers searched the area but did not locate any spent bullet casings, police said.
