Petition to rename lake on UGA campus for murder victim Laken Riley

Classic City News invites its readers to sign a petition that asks the University of Georgia to rename the lake on its campus near to where 22-year-old Laken Riley was murdered on the morning of Feb. 22, 2024.

The nursing student who originally was from Woodstock, GA, was an avid runner who regularly used the trails around UGA's intramural fields and Lake Harrick, which we are petitioning the university to rename Laken Riley to memorialize the slain student,
