UPDATE:
One person was shot, unknown what their condition is or if any arrests were made.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has not responded to requests from Classic City News for information.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Police officers with their guns drawn this Thursday evening have surrounded a building at Rolling Ridge Apartments.
Observers at the scene report that some of the officers are dressed in tactical gear and are armed with automatic rifles.
Classic City News is awaiting word concerning the situation from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department and will provide updates as they come in.
Wow! Hopefully there will be some gunfire.
