Science fact of the day: Coquerel’s Sifakas Practice Vertical Leaping

Coquerel’s Sifakas differ from their fellow lemurs by their mode of locomotion — they practice vertical clinging and leaping, which involves sitting upright and springing through the trees using the strength of their back legs.

And although they spend most of their time leaping through the trees, when they’re on the ground, they hop like kangaroos.
