Science fact of the day: Emus have a very long stride

While running, an Emu’s stride can be almost 9 ft. (2.7 m) long!

Emus are also very fast and are able to reach sprinting speeds of 30 mph (48 kph) and can maintain that top speed for a considerable distance.
