A second arrest has been made in a shooting of an occupied car over a month ago at an eastside apartment complex in which the driver was injured.

Tysamin Ellionte Glaze, 20, of Elberton was arrested Wednesday on warrants charging him with four counts of aggravated assault.

His arrest came less than a week after the arrest of an alleged accomplice, 18-year-old Trontaveous Latrez Mattox of Hartwell, who also was charged with four counts of aggravated assault.

According to a police incident report, the shooting occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 24, when a 19-year-old female with a Hickman Drive address was in her car with three other occupants in the 500 block of East Carver Drive within the Nellie B Homes complex when a dark-colored sedan pulled behind her car and several gunshots were fired from the sedan.

The occupants all ducked, but one of the bullets struck the driver, who police said was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“The motive is still under investigation and we are still investigating if anybody else was involved,” said Lt. Shaun Barnett, ACCPD’s public information officer, who said, “Detectives have not ruled out that there are additional suspects but are still working to confirm if anybody else was involved.”

As for Glaze and Mattox, Barnett said, “At this time we know that both of the individuals were there during the incident but are still trying to determine the specific actions committed by each person.”

Police asked for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Sgt. Greg Dickson at (762) 400-7070 or gregory.dickson@accgov.com.
