The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday announced that authorities had taken into custody Johnifer Dernard Barnwell, who last month escaped with three other prisoners from the county jail in Macon.
Officials said Barnwell was found just after 8 a.m. in a home in Augusta, about a two-hour drive from Macon.
Deputies said when the escapee was taken into custody, they found large amounts of drugs for post trafficking inside the home.
Augusta is about a 2-hour drive from Macon.
Barnwell along with Marc Anderson, Chavis Stokes and Joey Fournier broke out of the Bibb County Jail on Oct. 16.
Fournier is the only prisoner to have avoided capture and he is still on the run.
