A University of Georgia student recently reported a male was spying on her as she was in her bed.
According to an Athens-Clarke County police report, the 19-year-old student reported that on Sept. 2 at about 3:15 a.m., she was lying in bed at the Park at Athens Lakeside apartment complex, playing on her cellphone because she was unable to sleep.
When she looked at the window, she saw a shirtless Black male with an athletic build peering into her room through the portion of the window that was not covered by blinds, according to the report.
The student reportedly said the peeping Tom frightened her, so she ran to the living room and called a friend who advised her to not speak to the male and to call 911.
According to the police report, officers searched the area in cars and on foot but were unable to locate the suspect.
