Athens woman accused of sexually trafficking own daughter

By Joe Johnson

An Athens woman was recently indicted for allegedly letting men have sex with her 5-year-old daughter and also for personally sexually assaulting her child.

Treeemokneesha Laugiel Brown, 35, is charged in the Feb. 28 indictment with two counts of trafficking persons for sexual servitude, three counts of child molestation, two counts of incest, and one count each of first-degree cruelty to children and aggravated sexual battery.

The conduct alleged in the indictment occurred in 2021 in an Athens hotel room where Brown allowed a male perform sex acts to her daughter while she was present.

An arrest warrant references multiple men sexually assaulting the child.

Brown also personally subjected her daughter to sex acts while in the presence of a male, and she used “an object shaped like a Barbie doll” to assault the child, the indictment alleges.

Following an investigation by the Athens Clarke County Police Department, Brown was arrested in August 2021 and was released on an $8,450 bond.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on April 5.
