Local Artists Spotlight: Thomas Enlow

Thomas Enlow is an Athens resident and owner of Enlow Airbrushing & Art.

A veteran of both the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army, he is an airbrush and pinstriping artist and custom automotive painter.

Enlow desiged these masks and helmets for University of Georgia Ice Dawgs goalie Emily Barber

"I had a start in commercial art & advertising in high school as well as doing some drafting." Enlow said. "I enjoy participating in various forms of artwork from painting holiday window splashes on business windows to pen and ink drawings. I do a lot of airbrushing, pinstriping and lettering on helmets, cars, motorcycles, antiques, commercial vehicles and race cars. I also airbrush the goalie masks for the UGA Hockey team. Sometimes I get the traditional brushes out and work on canvas as well."

Enlow customized his friend's tumbler with chrome metal flake and candy blue layers.

Elow's customers have included BigFoot 4x4 Inc., General Motors, Harley Davidson Motorcycle Co., Coca-Cola, and John Force Racing.

Donating to the earnings to theFundraiser for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta: "Being asked to hand paint the BigFoot logo for BigFoot 4x4 Incorporated on one of their show trucks was a great thrill."
