My name is Al McKnight, I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Vickie Shell who was diagnosed with brain cancer (glioblastoma) earlier this year. Her husband, Vincent Shell, and sons, Rock and Beau Shell have been devastated financially and emotionally. There is a treatment they are pursuing to give my sister the best chance of surviving this extremely aggressive cancer. This has pushed her family to financial exhaustion and they need help immediately. We are setting a goal of $25,000 to help the family pay towards her treatment (including travel expenses) and related expenses. We are asking for donations toward this goal and to please share this with as many people as possible. Any amount is greatly appreciated as we try to help get them through this difficult time.
My sister is a graduate of UGA and Georgia State, a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and a teacher. To our family she is a sister, wife, mother, daughter, and cousin. She has always been full of life and laughter. She has also been a central part of the success of her son’s (Beau) business. The Lil Ice Cream Dude Cool World Ice Cream Shop has been something her family has worked toward for over 10 years. With the entire family pulling together to make this dream a reality, the business has become their primary source of income.
Having to close the shop for weeks at a time and also missing many seasonal events for the mobile side of the business has decimated the families income. This money will help them get out of the financial hole they are in and provide a little breathing room as they care for my sister. Beau is also due to return to school in the fall at UGA, but that has also been put in jeopardy due to this situation. My sister and her family have formed many connections over the years through their business, community engagement, sorority and professional relationships. We are asking everyone to please donate what you can to help my sister during this difficult time. Any support is greatly appreciated.

Praying hard for Mrs. Shell and her family. I know God answers prayers, and please keep the faith. Love ya'll
Please, please, please do not give up hope. My spouse was diagnosed with GBM almost 11 years ago and she is with us today. Everyone has advice. No one has answers. You folks are not alone in this fight.
