Victim shot in Oconee County

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday continued to investigate a shoooting that occurred in Bogart the night before.

According to a Monday evening post on the agency's Facebook page, deputies responded to North Burson Avenue where someone was shot three times during a dispute.

"Initial appearance of the wounds were that they were not immediately life threatening and the victim is at an area hospital," the sheriff's office posted.

"We have identified a suspect and will be working toward apprehension."

The sheriff's office did not indicate the age or gender of the victim, and on Tuesday it was not releasing any other details of the shooting.
