A 48-year-old Big Oak Circle man was shot over the weekend at Bethel Midtown Village, Athens-Clarke County police said
Officers responded to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center at about 4 a.m. Sunday on a report that the man was being treated there for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to police.
“The victim stated that he was shot at Bethel (Midtown Village) earlier that day,” Athens-Clarke County police Public Information Officer Geof Gilland said Thursday morning.
“He had a verbal altercation with a black female and several black makes and was shot,” according to Gilland.
