ACCPD Book Drive for Little Free Libraries

To recognize National Family Literacy Month, which will be celebrated in November, the Read Around Athens project is organizing a book drive to replenish Little Free Libraries in Athens-Clarke County.

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department is participating in the drive by making its east precinct available as a drop-off location.

By making free literature available to people of all ages, this initiative aims to foster a love for reading at home and encourage growth and development, self-care, and quality family time.

Help our community by donating lightly used or new books for all ages, with a preference for children and teen books.

Drop-offs can be made now through Oct. 13 at ACCPD's East Precinct, 3035 Lexington Road.

Nice idea, but how long will it be before someone complains about the content of books offered not being appropriate?
