An Athens man was recently arrested for urinating and allegedly "playing with himself" outside a downtown restaurant from which he had previously been barred.
Police responded to Chick-fil-A at about 11 a.m. Thursday on a report that 60-year-old Freddie Collins was fondling himself and urinating, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.
Collins denied to the responding officer that he had been urinating and he reportedly ranted and yelled about things the officer could not understand.
According to the report, when Collins was reminded that he had been barred from the fast food restaurant a week earlier, he denied having been at Chick-fil-A, while at the same time holding a bag of food and a drink from the restaurant.
A store official told the officer that when he exited the back door and saw what Collins was doing, the man reportedly asked for help pulling up his pants, the police report noted.
When told he was being arrested for public indecency and criminal trespass, Collins began to run away but was quickly captured, according to the report.
The Smokey Road resident on Sunday continued to be held at the Clarke County Jail, in lieu of bonds totaling $1,000.
