A wall at an Athens medical practice was vandalized by an apparent painting of Adolph Hitler, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.

An employee of Athens Obstetrics & Gynecology on Prince Avenue reported to police that someone made the spray painting on a wall of a parking garage between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.

The police incident report noted that an officer who inspected the graffiti "observed a very poor spray painting of what appeared to be an attempt at a rendition of Hitler indicative of the iconic mustache."

The employee told police she suspected the responsible person may have been one of the skateboarders who used the parking area to do tricks that damaged a wall and curb.

She said the medical practice had taken steps to prevent such activity and the vandalism might have been done in retaliation, according to the police report.
