Police investigating alleged rape at Athens convenience store

Investigators are looking into a woman's report that she was rapedthis week at an Athens convenience store.

According to an Athens-Clarke County police report, an officer was flagged down Wednesday morning by a 28-year-old woman at (location redacted) who said she had been raped at around 3 a.m. at 990 Prince Ave., the address of a Circle K convenience store/gas station.

The report did not indicate whether the alleged assault occurred inside the business or outside.
