Man injured when gunfire erupts during Athens music video production

A man reportedly was injured this week when a gunman opened fire on a music video production at an Athens apartment complex.

The shooting occurred around 5:50 p.m. Monday at Serene at Northside apartments on Old Hull Road, where a 24-year-old man was shot in the arm, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.

The victim said that he was involved in the filming of a music video at the apartment complex when he noticed a suspicious car driving by, at which time gunshots rang out, according to the report.

He could not provide a description of the car, and the report notes that shell casings and bullet fragments were located at the scene.

There is no mention in the report about the victim requiring treatment for his injury.
