A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries late Tuesday afternoon when their motorcycle collided with a car on Oconee Street in east Athens.
According to police, the incident happened shortly before 6 p.m. near the on ramp to the Athens Perimeter.
A Traffic Unit officer said that the biker's injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
"Definitely a broken leg, maybe some other fairly serious injuries," the officer said.
Details concerning the crash were not immediately available.
