Science fact of the day: Spotted Hyenas have special digestive systems

Spotted hyenas can digest things that most other animals cannot, including skin, hooves, bone, and teeth.

Their strong teeth allow them to crunch down on tough matter like bone while special stomach acids allow them to break down these unique food sources effectively.

And although hyenas cannot digest horns or hair, they are known to eat them anyway.
