Vintage World War II Warbirds coming this month to Atlanta-area airport

Two World War II bombers will be appearing at Dekalb-Peachtree Airport as part of the 2024 Flying Legends of Victory summer tour, offering rides and tours from May 28-June 2. The B-17 Flying Fortress, "Sentimental Journey," represents Allied air power over Germany in WWII. The B-25 Mitchell, "Maid in the Shade," was one of thousands of medium bombers used in every American theater of war, and was the type of aircraft used in the daring Doolittle Raid over Japan. Both bombers are operated by the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. CAF Arizona Wing/Special
