Athens-based real estate firm raises $40k for Athens Area Habitat for Humanity

ree

Landmark Properties, an Athens-based real estate company, recently raised $40,000 at its maiden golf tournament, the Building Hope Through Homes Golf Invitational, to benefit Athens Area Habitat for Humanity’s Micah’s Creek Project.

The fundraiser was held last month at The Georgia Club in Statham.

The Micah’s Creek initiative aims to transform local families from renters to homeowners within a single school attendance zone and, for the first time, measure the educational, financial, and social outcomes for those families over a period of several years.

This new neighborhood, dubbed Micah’s Creek, will also be the location of Lydia’s Second Home, phase-two of a unique non-profit partnership that provides subsidized housing for formerly homeless students seeking to beat the odds by earning their college degrees.

"Landmark is proud to partner with Athens Area Habitat for Humanity, who are making a positive impact in the lives of local families and students through their Micah’s Creek project,” Landmark co-founder and COO James Whitley said. "This golf tournament demonstrates Landmark’s commitment to making a positive social impact, and that includes supporting the communities where we live and work through both active social engagement and charitable giving. I’m very grateful to our team, participants, vendors, and supporters for helping make this inaugural event such a success.”

More than 40 foursomes turned out to play in the tournament and 44 sponsors supported the event with financial donations.

"A project like Micah’s Creek requires vision, hard work, and partnership,” said Spencer Frye, executive director of Athens Area Habitat. “This tournament exceeded everyone’s expectations, and we’re profoundly grateful for the tremendous response to this fundraiser from so many participating organizations, and especially to Landmark Properties for their generous support of this unique local project which we hope to see replicated across the country in coming years."

I’m genuinely impressed by how the ranch integrates traditional knowledge with modern sustainability practices. Using sage plants for natural deodorant and tissue is such a creative and eco-conscious approach. Collecting rainwater for all daily needs also shows great resilience, especially in areas where water supply is a challenge. This kind of environmental awareness is exactly what we need to protect our planet for future generations.การ์ดแต่งงาน

Really impressive to see an Athens-based real estate firm raising $40k for Athens Area Habitat for Humanity. It’s great when companies give back to their communities. Efforts like this remind me of similar community-driven projects happening in Faisal Town Phase 2, where development also focuses on social responsibility and support.
