Two men from Athens and another from Oglethorpe County have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a store in Vicksburg, MS.
WLBT, a television station in Jackson, MS, reported that the Vicksburg Police Department indicated that the incident occurred on Oct. 20 at Doc’s Wholesale.
Darryl Maddox, Royrecus Cunningham, and Derrick Watkins were subsequently extradited to Mississippi Thursday and all face armed robbery charges, according to WLBT.
Maddox, 59, and 60-year-old Watkins, both of Athens, Georgia; and 41-year-old Cunningham, a resident of Lexington made their initial appearances at the Warren County Justice Court on Friday, the TV station reported.
All three men were bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $500,000 bond.
Hopefully, Mississippi will keep them.
Good job: Police.
