Women arrested for “kerfuffle” in downtown Athens

By Joe Johnson

Two women were arrested last week in downtown Athens for their involvement in what a police officer described as a kerfuffle.

The arrests were made at about 2 a.m. on December 21 outside of the Cloud Athens nightclub on East Clayton Street after police officers intervened in a large brawl.

“I crossed the street with several other officers and attempted to break up the kerfuffle.” Officer Michael Williams stated in a report.

“Two women were still in fisticuffs after officers broke up the fight,” he wrote. “One, identified as Victoria Holcombe, had an unknown male by his hoodie and was pulling him around. She was placed in handcuffs for the altercation.

“Savannah Murphey was in the fight, pushing and slapping another male, and officers saw this. She was placed into handcuffs for the continuation of the battle.”

Holcombe, 26, of Jefferson Road in Athens, and Murphey, 21, of Commerce were then booked into the county jail for disorderly conduct.

They were released several hours later upon posting bonds of $10 each.

The story is entertaining and informative, just like poppy playtime chapter 3 adds an interesting unpredictable challenge that wants to entertain viewers.
