Athens woman arrested for killing brother’s cat

A 32-year-old Athens woman was recently arrested for killing her brother’s cat by dropping a 25-pound weight on its head.

Nay Nay Win admitted to police that she killed the cat on September 18th following an argument at their home on Lavender Lakes Drive,

Her brother’s teenage son buried the cat along with the weight in a garden at Jubilee Christian Services in Madison County, according to police.

Win was charged with aggravated animal cruelty and later released upon posting $2,500 cash bail.
