CCSD Accepting Bids for Sale, Relocation of Ellard Hall

The Clarke County School District is currently accepting sealed bids for the purchase and relocation of Ellard Hall, a century-old residential structure on the campus of the district administrative offices building located at 595 Prince Ave., Athens.

The two-story, 4,585 square foot house with 819 additional square feet of porch space, is being sold “as is.” It was used as office space by Piedmont College prior to CCSD’s acquisition of the property in 2021 and was also previously owned by Prince Avenue Baptist Church.

The sale will be for the house only, and the successful bidder will be required to remove the house from the property. For additional terms of sale, contact John Gilbreath, CCSD Director of Facility Planning and Construction, at 706-546-7721, ext. 77504, or gilbreathj@clarke.k12.ga.us.

Bids are due by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. They should be marked “Sealed Bid for Ellard House” on the outside and mailed or hand-delivered to:

Clarke County School District

Attn: John Gilbreath

145 Paradise Blvd.

Athens, Georgia 30607.

Additional information about and photos of the house may be found on this page of the district website.
