Woman smashes beer bottle on partner’s head

A woman was recently arrested for assault after she smashed a bottle beer on her partner’s head.

Elimar Gomez and Chayanne Ventura-Ruiz were driving home on Atlanta Highway early the morning of July 20th when during an argument she punched him in the face, knocking off his glasses.

She then grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it on her partner’s head.

Chayanne reported the incident when they arrived home on Hanover Place, where officers observed his face covered with blood, s large knot on his head, and glass shards all over his shirt with the broken bottle still inside the car.

Elimar admitted to assaulting her longtime partner but claimed it was in self defense after he slammed the front of her head into the dashboard.

Police said that she had no injuries to back the claim and they arrested her for aggravated assault and family violence battery.

Chayanne was treated at the scene by EMS.

Elimar was released from jail upon posting the $3,000 bail that a judge had granted on condition she only return to the Hanover Place apartment to retrieve belongings and have no further contact with Chayanne.
