A fundraiser is being held to help pay for the final expenses for 22-year-old Dequavious Ragsdale, who froze to death Tuesday night at a homeless camp in Athens.
His GoFundMe reads as follows:
Dequavious “Qua” Ragsdale was a brother, a nephew, & grandson. He was loved by many & was the type of person who would check on you before himself. He was very big on family. Anyone who knew him would say he is a good person who has been through a lot but still found a reason to look at the positive in life. Qua enjoyed life to the fullest & lived each day looking for a new way to be better. Not a day will go by that he would not be thought of or missed. If it isn’t his smile when walking in a room it is his positive outlook on life. If you could please assist us in sending him home the way he wanted to go, with family & friends. Before us we know Qua & he would appreciate any & everything you are willing to give. Thank you for any & everything that you contribute during our time of grief.
