Fire sweeps through Athens lumber yard for second time this month

By Joe Johnson

Firefighters Sunday night were battling a blaze at Hogan Lumber Company on Tallassee Road.

They fought a fire at the same location just two weeks ago, on Dec. 10.

Details were unavailable Sunday night from Athens Clarke County Fire and Emergency Services while fire suppression activities were underway.

ACCES asked the public to avoid the area of the fire at 325 Tallassee Rd. until after the scene is cleared.

All lanes of Tallassee Road between Whitehead Road and Westchester Drive are blocked to traffic.

Information about the incident will be released Monday morning, the ACCFES said.

After the previous fire, officials noted that homeless people had set up camp on the lumber yard's property.

More leftist/antifa terrorism.

True jeenyuses. Their actions will only result in more trees being cut down and higher costs to build homes/apartments... They have only hurt low income families and made it harder for them to ever own a home.

Congrats retards you are your own worst enemy.
