Gas leak shuts down section of West Broad Street

The Athens-Clarke County Police Department issued the following notice at 8:20 a.n. today:

ACCPD: Temporary Road Closure; West Broad St is closed all directions between Billups St and S Milledge Ave. Avoid the area. 

An ACCPD spokesperson said the reason for the road closure was a gas leak
