A second arrest was made over the weekend in connection with an armed robbery two months ago at Rolling Ridge Apartments.
Dequarious Quantez Thornton, 26, of Stone Mountain was arrested Saturday on warrants charging him with armed robbery, possession of a controlled substance and for charges he is facing in Oconee County.
His alleged accomplice, 23-year-old Deerickious Malik Davenport of Westchester Drive was arrested the day of the incident on Dec. 6.
In that incident an 18-year-old male from Statham reportedly went to the apartment complex off Kathwood Drive to purchase a cellphone but he was robbed at gunpoint by “multiple” suspects who stole cash and an iPhone 6 with a total value of $1,100, according to Athens-Clarke County police.
Davenport barricaded in an apartment at Rolling Ridge and was arrested after ACCPD’s Strategic Response Team flushed him out with tear gas, police said.
Davenport and Thornton on Tuesday continued to be held at the Clarke County Jail without bail being set.
