ICE places hold on prisoner after arrest for Athens assault

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on an assault suspect who is being detained at the county jail.
Cesar David Maradiaga Gomez, 25, of Hanover Place was arrested June 30th after he and another man allegedly struck a victim in the head with guns when an argument erupted during a game of dominoes on Chalfont Lane,
He was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
He remained at the county jail on Tuesday, awaiting transfer to the custody of ICE agents.
