Elderly jaywalker arrested after giving fake name to police

A 70-year-old homeless man was attested on the afternoon of September 12th by a police officer who saw him walking into traffic on East Broad Street .

When the officer asked for his identification, Larry Vincent Pezzanite told him that his name was John Jones and was 78 years old.

Personnel in the Real Time Crime Center told the officer that they possibly had the man’s real identity and when the information was confirmed Pezzanite was arrested for jaywalking and giving false information to police,

He is being held without bail pending his arraignment in November.
