Jeffrey Joseph Pourciau, 59, of Lafayette, LA, was arrested on the afternoon of June 29th in an Athens clothing store where he reportedly exposed himself to several employees,
One of the employees, a 21-year-old Athens resident, told police that she was helping Pourciau look for a shirt in Buckle at Beechwood Promenade when she “observed the zipper of the shorts he was wearing open and could see his penis and testicles in view.”
A second employee gave a similar account of her interaction with the customer , according to police.
Pourciau, who was in town from Louisiana to visit a hospitalized relative, denied that he had exposed himself and explained that he wore no underpants “because it was too hot and they make him chafe,”
He was arrested on two counts of public indecency and released a couple hours later on $20 cash bail,
