Man jailed after Zing Zang incident in downtown Athens

Raymond Clinton Boss Jr,, 21, of Loganville was arrested early the morning of August 3rd following an incident in downtown Athens that involved bottled cocktail mixer.

A police officer was on bicycle patrol on College Avenue at about 2;30 a.m. when he saw two groups of patrons who had exited a bar were arguing with each other as they stood beneath an awning out of the rain.

The officer reported that Boss “poured a bottle of Zing Zang Bloody Mary mix onto members of his opposing group.

“Seeing this as an act to entice a physical altercation, Boss was placed into custody for disorderly conduct,” the officer stated in his report.
