Men arrested for illegally dumping tires at Athens apartment complex

A pair of men were arrested on June 10th for illegally dumping a large number of used vehicle tires at the University Oaks apartment complex off West Broad Street.

They were identified from eyewitness accounts and video surveillance footage of an incident the night before when the men arrived in a rental box truck and disposed of a “very large pile of tires,” according to police.Hussein Zirjawi, 24, of Lilburn and Jereme Anglero. 22, of Hull were each charged with dumping waste exceeding 500 pounds.
