Food Donations Need to Supply Pet Food Pantry Program

Athens-Clarke County Animal Services' Pet Food Pantry program supplies roughly 8,000 pounds of dog and cat food to needy community members each year.

We are running critically low on food for this program that supplies food to those who cannot afford to feed their pets and we need dog and cat food donations.

Dry and wet dog and cat food can be dropped off between 11am-4pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-3pm on Sundays. Food must be either unopened or in a sealed container. We cannot accept any prescription food for this program.

Wow, it’s shocking how much the Athens-Clarke County Animal Shelter needs pet food right now. If you’ve been thinking about adopting or checking out Pets For Sale, consider donating first. Every bag helps keep pets healthy while they wait for forever homes.
