Homeless man trespassing at apartment complex pool arrested

A 40-year-old homeless man was arrested on the afternoon of September 4th after he was found trespassing in the pool area at The Summit of Athens appointment complex on Barnett Shoals Road.

Clayton Sky Sharp was trespassing with two other men, at least one of whom was also homeless.

When the officer checked their identities and learned that Sharp had an outstanding arrest warrant Sharp

said that he wasn’t going back to jail and took off running.

When the officer caught him in the parking lot of a neighboring complex he was found to have several pills that tested positive for methamphetamine,

Sharp was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

He is being detained at the county jail pending an October 15th bail hearing,
