Prisoner dies in Madison County Detention Center

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office this morning released the following:

​​​​​​​​​​On 07-10-2025 just before midnight a female inmate was found unresponsive in her cell at the Madison County Detention Center. Employees on duty performed life  saving measures on the inmate until EMS arrived and transported her to Piedmont Athens Regional where she was pronounced deceased. The inmate was identified as Tina Marie Patton, 39 YOA of Colbert, Georgia. The GBI was contacted and is leading the investigation for transparency reasons and is working with the Medical Examiners Office and the Madison County Coroners
