A man with an existing deportation order was arrested on the afternoon of November 28th after one of his neighbors complained about hearing gunfire.
While speaking with the Woody Lane resident police officers heard gunshots coming from a neighborhood property on Benedict Court.
When canvassing that street the officers spoke with witnesses who had seen 33-year-old Gerson Gemaliel Gonzalez-Montufar yelling and firing a gun.
After a lengthy standoff during which police used a public address system to give the man orders in both English and Spanish, Gonzalez-Montufar came out of his apartment and was arrested for reckless conduct, discharging a firearm while intoxicated, and obstruction.
He was transported to the county jail, where ICE has placed a hold on his release.
