Despite weighing no more than 10 lbs. themselves, Crowned Eagles target relatively large prey (in fact, some of their prey can weigh around 44 lbs.).

Crowned Eagles have been known to eat small antelope, mongooses, feral cats, rats, monitor lizards, and snakes.
