Science fact of the day: Not all lions live in Africa

While it is true that most lions live in Africa, not all of them do.

In fact, one small population of lions exists outside of Africa — the Asiatic Lion (Panthera leo persica) lives in western India, specifically in the area around the Gir Forest National Park.
