Tammy Still was confronted with a parent's worst nightmare upon waking last weekend.
Her 23-year-old daughter Briann would not be getting up to join her that Sunday morning.
"I found my daughter deceased in her bed,” she said. "I am broken and confused. We were in no way expecting my beautiful Angel to gain her wings," Tammy said.
“She was my beautiful Angel, my best friend,” Tammy said. “She had a beautiful soul and a heart of gold. Briann would do anything she could to see someone else smile.”
Briann Noelle Wells grew up in Oconee County and went to high school there. She enjoyed poetry, painting, drawing, writing and reading.
“She wanted to be an art teacher for special needs children as her brother Jason Jr. is blind and has special needs,” Tammy said.
Briann leaves behind three other siblings: Travis, Skilar and Haleigh.
She is also survived by her father, Jason Still.
Now, with Mother's Day coming up soon, Tammy is faced with the daunting task of having to bury her child, an expense for which her family was not prepared.
“She has no life insurance, no one thinks of life insurance at 23,” Tammy said. “She was still just a baby. My baby just starting her life.”
Anyone wanting to help with defraying the cost of Briann’s burial can do so through a GoFundMe account.
