‘Taco Charles’ busted on drug and gun charges

By Joe Johnson

Charles Andre McMillon, 29, of Segrest Circle, was arrested last week while in possession of various drugs and guns.

The arrest culminated an investigation during which police monitored his Instagram account with the handle of Taco Charles.

He was taken into custody on the afternoon of July 28th when police conducted a traffic stop after he made an illegal turn at Hull and Voyle roads then ran a red light, according to police.

His car was searched when a police dog alerted to the presence of drugs.

Officers found a stolen gun in the center console, but no drugs were located.

McMllon admitted to having just smoked weed, police said, which explained the dog alerting to drugs.

He was also in possession of a key to a woman’s apartment at the Athens Flats on Hull Road,

from which he allegedly had been selling drugs.

A Magistrate Court judge signed a warrant to search the apartment, during which police found six ounces of marijuana, ecstasy pills, cocaine, packaging materials, and an assault rifle.

McMillon was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and ecstasy, possession of cocaine, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies.

On Sunday he continued to be held at the county jail without bail.
